Y3 Visit to Weston Park Museum – 21.10.16

As part of our ‘Ancient Egyptians’ topic, we will be visiting Weston Park Museum on Friday 21st October. In the morning, we will be taking part in an Egyptian workshop, where the children will be involved in various different activities. In the afternoon, we will be looking around the museum at their Egyptian artefacts.

We are asking for a voluntary contribution of £3.00 per pupil to help cover the cost of the workshop and insurance. Although your contribution is entirely voluntary, you will appreciate that the visit will go ahead only if there are sufficient contributions to cover the costs. Activities such as this are beneficial because they give pupils experiences they may not otherwise have and this impacts positively on their learning and progress.

We will be walking to and from the museum so please make sure your child is wearing sensible shoes and clothing suitable for the weather that day. We are staying at the museum for lunch, therefore children will need a packed lunch, unless they receive free school meals.   We will be leaving after morning registration and will be back at school for 3.15 pm.

Please make sure you sign and return your reply slip by Friday 14th October 2016 to enable your child to take part.
